Day #7; "Par-Derrière", "Gambade"

Man, I can't believe I still haven't posted today's blog!
It's taking me awhile to finish and it's starting to spill into time I was going to use for Tuesday's blog so uh, Tuesday may be late too. 

Yup. Hahaha~

I can get caught up by Tuesday night though so I guess I'm not that far behind...

So yeah, today Tyler started his spring semester, I did some laundry, and I had a job interview (I'll let you know how that went on Wednesday...)~

And I've been working on blog stuff so I've been pretty busy today!

So I just did a quick sketch of a girl from behind today~

I like to draw butts and I cannot lie~

After my interview I had Tyler help me take a quick self portrait in the backyard while I was still dressed all nice~

Gambade is like a jump that horse does and I'm like a unicorn which is like a horse so omg look at my gambade~

Well, alright, I gotta go and finish Monday's blog ASAP!

Definitely before 9pm, that's for sure.

But tomorrow's blog will probably not be on time and should be posted by noon-ish.

Day #6; "Falling", "Classy Calvin"

Lazy Sunday!

Wake up in the late afternoon~

Lay around all day not doing anything productive~~~
(So lazy that I didn't even post until Monday! omg!)

Day #5; "Beach Bums", "Kitty Love"

Man, after staying out all night Tyler and I slept for a few hours and then were out hanging out with people again!

We had some very delicious Chinese food for dinner and then we watched Looper~

Pretty good day overall~

I was having some creativity block but managed to squeeze out some character exercise practice whatever~

Day #4; "Old Folks", "Beautiful Bella"

Omg it's Friday~
Tonight I'll be partying it up with my beau and the gang and I'm super excited!
So I'm just going to get this over with as fast as possible.

Film Friday #1

And to close out the work week on a light note,
I'll be doing film photo dumps of all of my backlogged and *~never before seen~* work!
In 2012 I took a lot of photos, I just didn't really post them, not that I didn't want to, I was just too busy~
But no more excuses, it's time I made the time to post my images.

So without further ado, I will start this series off with some photos I've been dying to share.
During 2012 I was lucky enough to see ~Lana Del Rey~ twice!

I first saw her at Amoeba Records in Hollywood on February 7th with a couple of gal pals.
It was a free show and the line seriously wrapped all the way around the building.
We were a little far back but it was still awesome!

And then I saw her with my boyfriend and my sister on June 4th at the El Rey Theatre.

Day #3; "Unicorn", "Let's Go!"

Man, today I was like, "oh cool, I got my photo and drawing done by 6pm! I can post at a reasonable time!"
But that so did not happen. Haha, oh well~

Today I was feeling just ~go with the flow~ so I figured I'd just do a simple drawing to make it easy on myself and just chill.
So here's a unicorn because I really like to draw unicorns~*

Today I got to hang out with this lil gal for like, an hour and a half!
We bounced, we jumped, we swung, we played with cars and Foofa and so much more~
And I can assure you, I got my bicep, tricep, AND flexors workout today~ (◕‿◡✿)

I swear we were having a great time, too!

DIY Thursday #1

This won't always be do it yourself but there will always be something that was made with the DIY-ethic.

I like to sew, knit, paint, draw, cut & paste, draft and craft~

So sometimes I'll show you the steps for a project and you can follow along and sometimes I'll show something I made and the pattern or tutorial I followed and sometimes I'll just show you things I've made so I can brag about it~

For the first week's post I'm going to do something that's pretty easy to replicate with any photo editor that is like Photoshop or GIMP.
It's something that's been done before but it's a useful technique to know and you can do some really crazy things with it if you really try and think outside the box ~(⌒∇⌒ ~)

Day #2; "Messy Mishaps" and "Simply Me"

Today was a VERY productive day, I already checked two things off of my list!
And for dinner I made Tyler and I vegan pink sauce pasta~

Which was basically an alfredo sauce I made from tofu + a can of marinara sauce poured on some mini shells.
It was super easy and sooooo gooood~ We each had two huge servings.

Haha, okay, enough food talk, here's my images~

For my drawing today, again, I turned to Tyler and said, "what should I draw?"
And since I had just finished making us dinner he said, "a chef! no wait, two chefs! like.... a boy and a girl chef........."
And I mean, how could I resist a request so cute?!

Whatever Wednesday #1

Breaking up the work week with a lil just, you know, ~whateva~
Mostly like an update-type-thing with maybe photos or links and stuff~
Since this is the first one I guess I'll start with a lil update about what's been happening in my life for the past couple of months...

I left my job at the theatre in the beginning of October.
So that I could party it up in Vegas for my friend's bachelorette party~
Was a maid of honor in said friend's wedding.

Celebrated my sister's 19th birthday.

And then I moved to Fresno the same weekend!
Since I have been here I have been on the job hunt but haven't had much luck.
I spend most of my time hanging out with Tyler and our friends or Tyler's family.
It has been very nice to just relax, though, I'm not gonna lie~

But enough relaxing it's time for things to change!

Since it's the new year, I guess I can let you know my New Year Resolutions~

Let me preface by saying, yes I know that most people nowadays think New Year Resolutions are dumb and pointless but I like to see the new year as just a great way to motivate myself because it's like a "fresh start" (even though it's just another day... haha) where you can just forget the past "year's" failures (it's all your fault, 2012!).

So this year I'm going to be blogging, photographing, and drawing daily to motivate myself to achieve more daily and hopefully my life will change accordingly over time.

It's like I'm making the resolution to change what I do, to change who I am, to become who I want to be.

But because that's not enough for me, every Whatever Wednesday I'd like to have a couple of weekly goals to accomplish and then I'll report on my successes here~
To set myself up for year-long success these goals will definitely help me out for a long time to come...

• get a library card
• turn in filled out job applications
• get more job applications
• schedule volunteering orientation at dog shelter
• organize my closet half

It's gotten a little out of hand...

Well, that's enough just talking about doing stuff, time to go do it!

Day #1; "The Kids" and "Jupiter: King of the Gods"

Happy New Year!

Have fun last night? Excited for the new year? Could you honestly not care less?!

Haha~ I hung out with the beau and chums drinking Hello Kitty champagne until the wee hours of the morning.

So we've had a quiet day in today but it was a nice start for the year.

And I'm super excited for the new year~ I'm excited for blogging and this simultaneous 365 project I'm setting out on.

So with out further ado, here are my images~

I asked Tyler what I should draw for my first photo of the year and he said "our children~*" which is Bella, Patches, Bookworm, and Wasabi & Ginger.
Bella is our cat, Patches is the stuffed dog I've had for forever, and the other three were gifts from Tyler over the years.
I think it's a pretty nice lil family portrait~

"Jupiter: King of the Gods"

A simple panorama of the view from our backyard in Fresno.
I was surprised when I pulled out my skymap app that the brightest spot at the very top is the planet Jupiter!
And it's hard to see but Orion is lying on his side below him in the trees.
I'm pretty pleased to have this as my very first photo for this project. (:

Happy New Year! And Tasty Tuesday #1~*

Happy New Year!

2012 was a great year filled with ups and downs~

I graduated from Mt. SAC with an Art's Associates in Humanites.

I was one of the maid of honors in my best friend's wedding.
I finally turned 21.
I left a pretty lame job that had some amazing coworkers.

I finally moved in with my boyfriend Tyler in Fresno.
I converted from a pescetarian to a vegetarian to a vegan.
And much more that I'm sure I'm totally forgetting~

While 2012 was a pretty good year, I want 2013 to be even better!
And I want to document it all, so I'm going to start blogging daily.
Monday through Friday will have different blogs each day, and since the new year starts on Tuesday the first post will be for
~Tasty Tuesday~ 

And as the days go on, each of the day's blog titles will be revealed.
I'll be queuing my blog to post automatically every day at 9:15am but besides the scheduled posts,
everyday I will post a photo that I took and a drawing that I drew~

I'm very excited to be blogging more and for what this year will unfold into~

So okay, enough mushy rambling, let's get started!

Thanksgiving this year was spent at Tyler's home with his family and my sister came to visit! 

I spend the day before and the day of cooking soooooo muuuuuccchhh~
I wanted my first ever vegan thanksgiving to be delicious as hell and guess what! It was~

I started my day by attempting to roast some pecans.
It didn't end well.

Even though it was totally disheartening for the FIRST thing I did to go horribly wrong,
everything else went quite smoothly afterwards~

I made a tofu-based pumpkin pie~
Everyone who tried it said it tasted just like normal pumpkin pie so aw yeah~~~

I also made a tofu-based sweet potato pie.
It probs look way cooler with some pecans but you know...
Also tasted pretty normal so that's good, too~ Haha

This is some green bean casserole!
I had to make a roux and it was so weird but cool.
Cooking is such an awesome hobby,
it's like chemistry but then you get to EAT IT!

Tyler's mom is very awesome and gave me a portion of stuffing/dressing that I kept vegan with a vegetable broth. She also shared some mashed potatoes and broccoli salad~
So there was absolutely no shortage of different kinds of food.

 These dinner rolls were made from scratch!
Yeast, flour, and water. And I guess time.
For my first time every making bread from scratch, they came out pretty flavorful~

And the pièce de résistance... the Trader Joe's brand holiday roast~

Tyler was the one who very nicely laid out this platter and doesn't it look great?~ 

I typically get the Tofurkey brand but decided to try the Trader Joe's one out and oh man, it is amazing!

I've got nothing against the Tofurkey one, but the Trader Joe's one looked better, had a better texture, and tasted better! 

It was seriously so good....... I want some right now........ omggggggg..g...g.g..g.......

After the seemingly endless amount of prepwork and cooking, this was the most delicious Thanksgiving I've ever had~

Autumn

Autumn is probably my favourite time of year.
My birthday is in autumn~ (September 4th!)

The weather is always cool and nice~
And it's usually when school starts and I kind of like school, haha.

But now that I have an Arts Associates in Humanities from Mt. SAC,

I am going to take a year (or two...) off from school-learning and try out some of that life-learning~

So in an attempt to get myself going, I'm going to start running this blog full-force!
I'm going to continue posting photo sets but I'm also going to share other things, like vegan recipes and DIYs~

So I guess I'll give you some background about myself, as it will pertain to what I will post about.

I'm Jacqueline Zebraskiin~
I'm a 21 year old vegan from Los Angeles County.
I'm moving to the ~ fantastic~ Fresno County to live with my boyfriend and his family at the end of October.
My boyfriend is an awesome dude named Tyler Zebraskiin and we've been dating for 5.6 years!
That's so ridiculous, haha~
I'm Maid of Honor in my best friend Laurren's wedding on October 20th and I'm equally excited and infuriated by it all...
I love photography, especially film and analog photography.
But I'm just as equally skilled with a TLR and negatives as I am with a DSLR and RAW files. (;
I love to create. Just any form of creating is fun to me~
Whether it be sewing crafts or cooking food or making a music video, as long as I'm creating, I'm having the time of my life~



Well, I'd like to go get started on some "real" blog posts so I'll wrap this up here.

This was actually back in March! I can't believe I'm such a slacker...
But we had a pleasant afternoon and we got some really great photos!
